Ways to Burn Calories at the Beach

Beach season is here!  Many people either take their summer vacation to the beach or they live at the beach, like I do.  Most of the time when people on vacation they don't really want to goto the gym and workout.  I have good news for everyone looking to burn calories and not take time out of your vacation to hit the gym.

Hell, some days I would just prefer to spend the day on the sand in the sun instead of spending time in the gym.  I want to sleep in and get my workout while simultaneously getting a tan and having fun with my kids.  You wouldn't necessarily goto the gym before a day of hiking or skiing.  You'd possibly consider that enough exercise for the day.  The beach is the same way, as long as you don't lay around drinking and tanning all day.

Here are some of the most popular (and fun) ways to burn calories at the beach and the approximate number of calories they burn per hour

Is there something that I don't have listed that you do when you goto the beach that burns calories?

Disney Workout #5 -- Alice In Wonderland (2010)

I promise I've had this video done forever!  I totally forgot to upload them to Youtube and my blog.  I love this movie.  So far this has to be my favorite Disney remake.  I think my favorite thing about this remake is that it isn't a remake at all.  It's it's own story.  It's actually a sequel, disguised as a remake.

Did I confuse you?

I think i might have confused myself.  Anyway, this is mainly based off of falling down the rabbit hole and the battle.  Comment below and let me know what you thought of it.

Disney Workout #4 -- Newsies

First Disney workout of May!  I have watched this movie numerous times.  I can never get tired of the dancing in this show.

When you watch this show you notice that leaps and jumps are a major part of the choreography.  So, naturally that meant that this was going to be a high energy.  HIIT workout with lots of jumps.

This workout is 6 exercises repeated 2 times before moving on to the next exercise.  30 seconds of work, 15 seconds of rest.

Tuck Jumps
Lunge jump to squat jump
Jump rope
Step up
Farmer's walk

Squat Jacks

Disney Workout #3 -- Onward

I am a bit obsessed with this movie.  It's one of my favorite Pixar movies. This workout was a bit tricky.  I based alot of the exercises on little details.  You'll need a medicine ball and a pair of dumbbells for this workout.

Enjoy!

Disney Workout 2 -- Zootopia

This workout is based on the Army Combat Fitness Test.  You have a 50 minute time limit.  Start with a 2 mile run/jog/walk.  It took me about 35 minutes.  I subtracted that by the 50 minute time limit and the last 15 minutes is an AMRAP (As Many Rounds As Possible)  with 3 of each
Deadlifts
Overhead Throw / Kettlebell Swing
Pushup
Sprint-Drag
Leg Tuck

Disney Workout #1 -- The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh

I love Disney movies.  They are amazing, timeless, classic.  I decided to design a workout series based around the movies.  Most of the exercises were inspired by things in the movie.  I posted this first one on Instagram last week.  I'm hoping to be able to do these weekly.

Enjoy! Please let me know what you think.
