I FINALLY FOUND IT!!!

This is a ZeroBar.  What's a ZeroBar you ask?  It's a fat free, gluten free protein bar.

I found out about this company from a Facebook folower.  ZeroBar graciously sent me a few bars to test out for y'all.  I'm not going to lie.  I was a bit skeptical about whether or not these were actually going to taste good.  But they are amazing.  The only flavor they have out right now is Cherry Brownie.  {Don't worry though, they have more flavors in the works}  It actually tastes like cherries and chocolate.

They website says that they made this  for athletes who "want to burn fat, not eat it."  It's also great for the athlete that CAN'T eat fat.  Actually it's great for ANYONE who doesn't want to eat fat.  This bar is great for keeping in your gym bag or your car, your desk or your purse.  It makes a great after workout {or middle of the day} snack!  It would also be great as a midnight munchies snack.  It has a great mix of protein and carbs.  It will keep you fuller longer than many munchies will.

I let my girls taste these and now they keep bugging me for them. They love them.  Do you have kids?  Do they play sports?  Give them a ZeroBar before or after practice.  Unlike most bars, the amount of protein in these is at an acceptable level for children.  {.95 grams per kilogram of bodyweight a day is reccomended.  So, an 80 lb child needs 34 grams of protein a day.}   The protein will aid in muscle recovery for them, just like it does for adults.  And carbs are the most important energy source.  It will help them fuel/refuel.

Want to find out more about ZeroBar?  Want to get some for yourself?  Check them out and tell them you heard about them on The Fit Beach Babe!

Almost August Things I Love Thursday

I can't believe tomorrow is August 1st!  This is the last...

of July!

IHOP Sugar Free Syrup
One of the lowest carb syrups that I've found that actually tastes like real syrup.  It only has 7 grams of carbs!

Isopure Dutch Chocolate
1 gram of carbs and 0 grams of fat.  It tastes amazing.  If you add just the right amount of unsweetened plain almond milk it tastes like cold hot chocolate.

Gold's Gym Ab Wheel
Great piece of equipment for your home gym.  It works the upper and lower abs with a variety of possible exercises.  It also works the obliques.  I bought mine at Walmart for under $8.  It doesn't take up much room and it's a great tool to take with you on vacation!

Free magazine from Vitamin Shoppe
I guess they aren't really free since you have to buy something to recieve them but, they have a ton of great information in them!

Chalkboard Fabric Paint
WHAT???!!!??  This stuff is awesome!  I found it at Michael's when I was looking for iron ons to make a business shirt with.  You paint it on the shirt (it come with a stencil to make the word bubble but, Ken thought a bigger space was a better idea), let it dry for 24 hours and then set it with an iron.  I love it!

Have you found any cool stuff that you love this week?  Share it with me!

Confession

I want to make some confessions.

  1. Before I got sick I was a peanut butter addict.  It was not uncommon for me to have a bowl of peanut butter mixed with a huge scoop of jelly for lunch.  Unhealthy?  Yes.  Delicious?  Yes.  Regrets?  None.
  2. I love to bake.  I really would love to open a low-fat, clean eating bakery.
  3. Kaylee won't eat anything before practice in the morning except for granola bars.
Remember on Thursday I told you abot how I was in love with Jif Whips?  Well, I found the perfect way to use them.  In granola bars!  These granola bars are so simple.  They take 10 minutes to whip up and 30 minutes in the oven.  I love them because they are chocolatey without having any actually chocolate.  The sugars a little high but, I think most of that is the natural sugar from the honey.  I recalculated the recipe using sugar free syrup instead of honey and blueberry syrup and it brought the sugar down to  7.6 and the carbs to 30.5.

These are a good breakfast, or a cheat treat.  Best of all you know everything that's in them.
