Fitness on the Road

Want to see the gym I used on Saturday?

This past weekend we stayed in Kissimmee.  Mo had a cheer competition and I didn't want to drive both ways in one day.

I didn't want to be forced out of working out all weekend so I brought along 2 trusty pieces of equipment.  Resistance bands and ankle weights.  If you travel often then these are 2 things you should definately invest in.

Here was my routine.  As you can tell from the photo above I set up shop at 4 AM in the bathroom so I wouldn't disturb anybody.  It burned about 300 calories in an hour.

Lunges - 3 sets of 15
Bodyweight Squats - 3 sets of 25
Glute Bridges - 2 sets of 20
Glute Kickbacks (attach both ankle weights to the leg you are working) - 3 sets of 15 each leg

Bicep Curls (using resistance bands) - 2 sets of 15
Bent over Rows (using resistance bands) - 3 sets of 10
Tricep Dips (on the edge of the bathtub) - 2 sets of 15

Crunches - 4 sets of 25
Bicycles (wearing ankle weights) - 4 sets of 15

The competition was at the Silver Spurs Arena.  This place is HUGE!  There were 40 million stairs so, while I was waiting for Mo's team to compete I ran up and down them.  I did this probably for 25% of the time that we were there.  At the end of 9 hours my heart rate moniter claimed that I burned 1325 calories.
